The clinic „Horse Communication in the Round Pen“ was developed by Markus and Andrea Eschbach. There you can learn the fundamental principles of horse communication and discover, how horse and human can maintain a dialogue. In order to establish this dialogue you will observe the horses’ signals, interpret them and train your own body language.

Horses are highly sensitive creatures who react to the slightest change in their environment. They observe us continuously, how we move, breathe and which emotions we express through our body.
The round pen is an ideal training arena for this kind of work.

In this arena many participants concentrate on their horse for the first time in their lives. Now they start to develop a feeling for their horse and for themselves. “This thing“ between human and horse can grow. It works when the human is willing to listen to his horse and to really get involved in that process.

The emphasis in this course is to feel the horse from the ground and lead it „indirectly“, i.e. without touching it, by communication through body language. In other words, you will learn to “ride” the horse from the ground at 5-6 m distance.

Round Pen Training improves self perception, attention and obedience. On an advanced level you can work out your horse in the round pen – an ideal complement to working in the saddle.

Many horses show unwanted behaviour at the beginning. Some of this behaviour can even be dangerous. The reason for this lies in the fact that it has never been clarified between both of them who is higher in rank.
